Summary proving Saul of Tarsus is a false apostle and teacher - Overview of Major Arguments Against Paul

This subject of the teachings of Saul of Tarsus is of the UTMOST importance, impacting the eternal salvation of us all.  It is one of Satan's most amazing and important deceptions in all of history.  Probably 99% of all "Christians" are deceived regarding this man and his doctrines.  It is one of Satan's most successful frauds and lies.  And yet, paradoxically, once one sees the truth, it is so incredibly obvious.

As I imagine occurs with most people who stumble upon an extremely eye-opening truth, as occurred with me upon learning of the New World Order agenda, I was lead to also question the “orthodox” beliefs promoted by the “Established authorities” in our society in many other areas – including, the doctrines taught by the “mainstream” churches, and possible deception in the area of the Bible.  The Messiah made clear that there is GREAT deception in the area of religion.  He repeatedly warned against false prophets, and specifically stated that “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:14)  And it states in Revelation that Satan “deceives the whole world.” (Revelation 12:9).
This is a very hard truth for most people to accept.  At one time, I would have felt the same way.  Not to insult the intelligence of the reader, but just let me stress a straightforward truth.  In order for any of us to advance in knowledge of the truth, we must be willing to consider views that may initially shock us and that we may be preconceived to reject strongly.  For instance, recall how you (and I as well), may have at one time initially strongly rejected the idea that 9/11 could have been perpetrated by criminals controlling the U.S. government.
The evidence against Paul is simply overwhelming.  Saul of Tarsus (aka Paul) is a false prophet and false Apostle.   Please understand that I have come to this conclusion after about 8-9 years of research and reflection, and second-guessing myself, and with deep thought and consideration.

I imagine that some may be considering stopping reading right now.  I implore you the best I know how to not do so, and to just give me a few more minutes of your time.  This is such an absolutely crucial issue of the highest importance.  I believe that if you calmly and logically consider the points I subsequently make, you will see that my argument has validity ON THE EVIDENCE – which, at the least, I believe will cause you realize some legitimate questions and do your own research on the matter.

One could literally write an entire book detailing the MANY problems with Paul, but in the interest of brevity, the following is an outline of several of the major arguments and pieces of evidence demonstrating that Saul of Tarsus is a false prophet and teacher:
And let me stress that you look up the passages I reference to confirm what is being presented.

Major points (not exhaustive of the arguments against Saul/Paul):

1) Most importantly, Saul/Paul taught against keeping the commandments of YHWH, saying that "the law has been abolished" (Ephesians 2:15), that “no one is justified by the law” (Galatians 3:10-14), and that “we are not under the law” (Romans 6:14). Yet Yahushua the Messiah taught the exact opposite.  In Matthew 5:17-18 the Messiah states: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."  And He specifically said that we must obey and keep the commandments in order to obtain eternal life, as he told the rich man in Matthew 19:16-21 who asked him what he should do in order to have eternal life, saying "if thou wilt enter unto life, keep the commandments". And in Matthew 7:21-23 the Messiah said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven".

2) Paul was not one of the true 12 Apostles chosen by the Messiah. Mathias was the replacement for Judas. Yet Paul constantly (falsely) claims to be an “Apostle”. There are only 12 true apostles, not 13 or more, as confirmed in Revelation 21:14, which describes the walls of the new Jerusalem as having “twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”  And in Matthew 19:28 the Messiah tells the 12 apostles: "at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

3) Paul was a Pharisee. Yahushua the Messiah criticized the Pharisees in the strongest terms, and sternly warned against them, as in Matthew 16:6, where he stated “take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.” So if we are to believe the words of the Messiah, should not we then beware of Paul?  He also stated to the Pharisees: "For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in."  As demonstrated here, Paul was used by Satan to prevent men from being able to enter Heaven.

4) In Romans chapter 13, Paul commands believers to “obey all civil authorities, since they are all ordained by God.” There is no qualification by Paul, as if to suggest only obedience to “godly” authorities. This is obviously a very dangerous, Satanic teaching. For instance, should the early Christians have bowed and worshipped the Roman Emperor as “god”? Should they obey the “anti-Christ” in the future, and worship him?

5) In Revelation 2:1-2, Yahushua praises the Ephesian church for rejecting false apostles: “thou has tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars”. In 2 Timothy 1:15, Paul says that “all they which are in Asia be turned away from me.” Of course, the city of Ephesus was in what was called “Asia” at that time. So, the church at Ephesus rejected Paul as a false apostle, and the Messiah praised them for it!

6) In 1 Corinthians 8:1-13, Paul says that eating meat sacrificed to idols is acceptable. This is, of course, against the law of YHWH, and is condemned by the Messiah in Revelation 2:14.

7) Paul teaches that we are to seek the approval of and to please men. In 1 Corinthians 10:33 Paul says, "Just as I try to please men in everything I do". And in Romans 12:17 Paul says, "Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone." Yahushua the Messiah taught the exact opposite, saying "that which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination" to the Heavenly Father (Luke 16:15). Furthermore, the Messiah taught that most people and the "world system" (being deceived by and following Satan) would hate and persecute those who sought to follow the truth and the Heavenly Father. He said, "but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you" (John 15:19) .

8) In Colossians 2:16, Paul suggests that each man can do as he pleases in regards to YHWH’s laws regarding diet, the feasts, and the Sabbath when he states “Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.” And there is suspicion that Paul may have been integral in “changing the Sabbath” to Sunday, as opposed to the 7th day of the week, as commanded by YHWH in the Old Testament.

9) Paul directly contradicts Yahushua the Messiah in how to pray. Yahushua says in Matthew 6:5-6 that to not pray as the “hypocrites” (ie, Pharisees), who pray openly in the synagogues and at the corners of streets, but rather to do it in your closet or in secret where only you and the Father know what you are talking about. Paul, on the other hand, says in 1 Timothy 2:8, “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting”. And remember, Saul/Paul was a Pharisee! So no wonder he instructed people to pray as the Pharisees do.

10) Under what authority should the writings of Saul be included as "canon" scripture? Because a council of the Roman Catholic Church in the 4th century AD said so? Saul of Tarsus was not one of the 12 true Apostles. Why, then, should the words, opinions, and letters of Saul of Tarsus carry any more weight than any other self-professed Christian? And Paul didn't even claim to be writing down "words coming from God". He was merely writing letters to those he had proselytized. Can we, for instance, take letters that Billy Graham or Rick Warren wrote, and in 100 years put them into the Bible as well?

11) A hypothetical. What if a well known and infamous Satanist and murderer and persecutor of Christians (say like a Charles Manson figure) were to one day suddenly claim to have had a "miraculous conversion" to Christianity, an now claims to be an "Apostle"? What would you think of that? Would you be at least a little suspicious of the claim? Should he go to prison, and perhaps face the death penalty for his crimes?  What if this person was not punished for his crimes, and allowed to roam society as a free man spreading his new version of Christianity?  And, incredibly, then this person goes on to have his writings included in the Bible!  And it doesn't stop there. He is then somehow elevated to the title of "greatest apostle", even though he never was one of the true 12 Aposltes!

12) Saul/Paul claims to have been "converted" on the road to Damascus (on his way to arrest followers of the Messiah), but there are problems with this claim. There are three separate accounts of this "conversion event" in the Book of Acts, and they all contradict each other, demonstrating that Saul is lying about it.   The account in chapter 9 of Acts states that the men travelling with Saul heard a voice but did not see anyone.  Then, the account in chapter 22 of Acts states that the men travelling with Saul did NOT hear a voice, but did see a light.   (See this article for an analysis of these passages.)

13) Saul/Paul directly contradicts the teaching of the Messiah on whether to call any man your "father".  In Matthew 23:9 the Messiah states: "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."  As seen from the context of the passage, the Messiah is talking about referring to another man as your "father" in the "spiritual sense" (related to one who leads another in religious matters).  In 1 Corinthians 4:15 Paul states: "I became your father through the gospel."

14) The Messiah instructed his true 12 Apostles that they should not be paid for their preaching of the gospel.  In Matthew 10:8 the Messiah states: "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."  In 1 Corinthians 9:14 Paul contradicts this saying: "the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel."

15) Paul directly contradicts the Messiah on the number and division of "teachers" of the gospel.  In Matthew 23:8 the Messiah states: "But yor are not to be called 'Rabbi', for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers."  But in 1 Corinthians 12:28 Paul states: "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers...".  And in Ephesians 4:11 Paul states: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers."

16) In his letters, Paul is seen responding to people who at that time were questioning and denying his claim to "Apostleship".  For example, in 1 Corinthians 9:1-2 Paul states: "Am I not an apostle?  Have I not seen Jesus our Lord?  Are you not the result of my work in the Lord?  Even though I may not be an apostle to others, surely I am to you!"  And in 1 Timothy 2:7 Paul states: "Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not)".  Why the need to emphasize that he is "not lying" when claiming to be an apostle?

17) Paul admittedly did not learn or receive the gospel he taught from the true 12 Apostles.  He states in Galatians 1:11-12 of the gospel he preaches: "For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."   And as covered up to this point, the gospel that Paul taught is completely different than that taught by the Messiah and the 12 true Apostles.  So is this how the Messiah would really work? He taught his true disciples/apostles face-to-face, living with them for over 3 years. Why would he, then, give Saul/Paul some special revelation of the gospel? Why would he not have Saul/Paul learn the truth of the gospel from the true 12 Apostles, like the rest of us?

18)  Saul/Paul was an Edomite "jew", who claimed to be a "kinsman" of the Herodians (in Romans 16:11).  Thus, Saul was of the Satanic bloodline, and of the “generation” (RACE) of “vipers”, that the Messiah described the jewish Pharisees of in Matthew 23:33.

19) Yahushua the Messiah warns against false prophets performing false "signs" and "miracles", and Saul/Paul boasts of performing such "signs, wonders, and miracles.

Matthew 24:23-28. “At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christ’s and false prophets will appear and perform great SIGNS and MIRACLES to deceive even the elect (disciplines) - if that were possible. 25. See, I have told you ahead of time (told YOU, disciplines, as a warning). 26. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' (Paul claimed he received "revelation" in the desert) do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' ….28. Wherever the corpse is (new religion), there the vultures will gather (Satan strikes).”

2 Corinthians 12:12 - PAUL: “When I was with you, I certainly gave you every proof that I am truly an apostle, sent to you by God himself. For I patiently did many SIGNS and wonders and MIRACLES among you.”

20)  The New Testament actually reveals that there was an ongoing feud between Saul/Paul and the true 12 apostles of the Messiah.  For instance, in Galatians 2:11, Paul says that he opposed Peter, stating: "But when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face."  This is also why, as mentioned in item #15 above, Paul repeatedly addresses in his letters those who question or deny his claim to "apostleship".  The book of James includes a refutation of the teachings of Paul, where it states "Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead" (James 2:17) and that "A person is justified by works and not by faith alone." (James 2:24).    This directly contradicts the teaching of Paul in Ephesians 2:15 stating "No one is justified by the law".

By way of summary, let me again stress how incredibly crucial this is.  As made clear by the Heavenly Father and the Messiah, obedience to His Law and doing His will is the requirement for salvation.  The Pharisee Saul was an snake and "anti-Christ" and an apostle of Satan, who transformed himself from an overt persecutor and murderer of the followers of the Messiah to an infiltrator who sought to destroy the truth of the Messiah's message from within, by masquerading as a "follower" of the Messiah, when actually teaching doctrines against the teachings of the Messiah, in order to prevent His sheep from entering the kingdom of heaven.

The writings of Saul of Tarsus were allowed by YHWH our Father into what we call “The Bible” as a test.  As it says in Deuteronomy 13:1-3, YHWH uses false prophets in order to test us “to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul”.

  2. Good job! As difficult as it may seem, we must remember to love people who have built most of their ideas of who Yahweh is, based on this culprit's wack nut theology. It is the true test of the heart, to have the truth, be rejected for it, and still love as He loved His disciples. Brovo my brother! Keep up the good work and continue to fight the good fight. It's only a matter of glory it seems so impossible, but soon, the tares shall go into the fire, and it shall become as evident, as the night is to the day, who are His and who are not. Don't forget to enjoy the fact you are one of His.

    1. It's funny how people can be of a faith based very much upon one source (The Bible, Torah, Qur'an, etc) and then lob insults at people for taking a series of quotes, in context, from that very source to ask a question, prove a point, or present a concept. I would hope you would eventually look back at this and read this, and that you are a more open minded and kind person now. You would need to be saying, in all honesty, that you knew the Bible so well and understood the message so well, that you were literally FLUENT in the Bible. If that is the case, I would ask to hear your multi-sentence rebuttal as to compare the two arguments, to better make a choice for myself. If, however, this is NOT the case, I would ask you, from everyone interested enough in topics like this to read a complete case of TL;DR like this (no insult to the author, it is very long. The content is very well presented though, so it isn't a bad thing) and have enough thought to read the comments.

  5. Truth! Also, Jesus will come and very eye will see, every knee will bow. But we are supposed to believe Jesus stopped by to see Paul? Blasphemy. Thanks the truth. The last commenter is the one lighting the fire to burn us at the stake. Nothing has changed. Truthinrevelation.wordpress.com

  7. I'm sorry but your proof is not proof at all, you don't know or understand the scripture at all. In fact, a lot of the points you make for paul to be a false prophet is not true at all. I could take all 20 points and show how your wrong in them all.

  8. Please offer your arguments. My entire aim with this website (and in everything) is finding the TRUTH, whatever that may be. If I am wrong, I want to know. But your comment here offers no proof. My article has offered voluminous amounts of proof. For starters, I want to know your argument regarding what legitimate basis there is to consider the Pharisee Saul of Tarsus to be an "apostle". He was not one of the true 12 apostles called by the Messiah, and there were only 12 true apostles, and no more. Given that Saul was not an apostle, what basis is there to include his writings in the Bible and regard them as "canon scripture"?

  11. • Argument one
o When Jesus confronts the devil he says that we are to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God and only serve him but when Paul defends himself before other people he relies on worldly authority such as the Romans.
 Matthew 4:4 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
 Acts 22: 25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned? 26 When the centurion heard that, he went and told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what thou doest: for this man is a Roman.
o The problem with this argument is that Paul began by giving his testimony of Jesus Christ. In the beginning of Acts 22 he tells about how he used to persecute Christians and then encountered Jesus Christ which changed his life.
o To make this argument would be to also say that Esther was evil because she did not present herself to King Xerxes with scripture. She did not even identify as Jewish initially but instead tried to gain the king’s favor with invitation to a feast.
o Preaching Jesus Christ and giving their testimony followed by identifying as a Roman because God has told you to go to Rome is not equal disobeying God. Beyond all this Paul did not use his Roman citizenship to prevent himself from being beaten and thrown into prison. He only brought these things up after he had received the punishment for serving Jesus.
 Acts 16: 22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
 Acts 16: 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. 38 And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.
o Remember even Jesus Christ defended himself when he was accused falsely during his ministry without using a Bible reference .
 John 10:32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
o Jesus also said that he would instruct them what to say. Paul fully expected to go to Rome and to die there and there is absolutely no reason to speculate that this was not the work of the Holy Spirit for him to claim his Roman citizenship.
 Luke 12:11And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: 12For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

  12. • Argument two
o Jesus forbid calling any man in the faith of father and Paul claimed that he was a father to the Corinthians.
 Matthew 23:9 9And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
 1 Corinthians 4: 15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
o Jesus was clearly talking about calling a fellow believer a father rather than a brother to argue against having a hierarchy of the church. When Paul greeted all the churches including the Corinthians he always greeted them as brethren. Paul also argues that Abraham is considered a father of the faithful
 Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
 The problem is that God Himself told Abraham he would be a father of many nations
 Additionally, Paul makes it clear that we are to interact with the other Christians as brethren and sisters in the elder brother and his mothers and fathers. This has nothing to do with hierarchy but with respect
    • 1 Tim 5:1 - Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren
 It is foolish to assume that Jesus was banning the use of father. If that were true he contradicted himself when he says honor your father and mother clearly talking about your human parents.
    • Mark 7:10 10For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
 With the prodigal son the child comes again to his father and speaks to him as his father.
    • Luke 15:21 21And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
 When Paul speaks about being the father he makes it clear that he is discussing this “in Jesus Christ through the gospel.” He is obviously not giving himself a religious title as he introduces himself in the letter as a brother to them.
    • 1 Cor 1: 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
 He specifically denies anyone who would dare think of him as any great authority and rejects any place of authority.
    • 1 Cor 1: 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
 Nowhere in Scripture will you find him referred to as father Paul and he is constantly calling himself a servant, unworthy, and a brother to all the Christians. He specifically reprimands anyone giving him any greater recognition making it clear the only one worthy of recognition is Jesus Christ.

  13. • Argument three
o Jesus says the gospel of the kingdom must be preached around the world where as Paul came preaching another gospel that was the gospel of grace that allowed all things that are sinful to be performed. He states that there is nothing that he is not allowed to do. They claim that this exact thing is condemned by Jude and John.
 Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
 Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
 2 Corinthians 11: 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
 1 Cor 11:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
 Jude 1: 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
 1 John 2: 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
o Here we find the ignorance that fills a large part of Christianity at this time. The Gospels are part of the Old Testament and the post church age. The New Testament only begins once the testator dies.
 Hebrews 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
 This means that the gospel of the kingdom given in Matthew 24:14 does not apply to the church. If you carefully study Matthew 24 you will find that all the signs discussed including the sun being darkened and the stars falling from the sky and wars and the abomination of desolation and so on are all referring to the return of Jesus Christ after the great tribulation. Bible believers understand there to be a rapture of the church prior to the tribulation. Regardless whether you are a pre-trib or mid-trib believer you recognize the abomination of desolation to certainly be the beginning of the tribulation. That means the gospel that Jesus is referring to as the gospel of the kingdom is not the same gospel as the gospel of grace. The end of Matthew 24 is with Jesus returning to the earth to reign not the rapture.
    • Matthew 24: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
    • The return of Christ is quite different from the rapture. Paul’s writing talks about the rapture being in a twinkling of an eye but even if you exclude Paul you will find 24 elders in heaven who were already with Jesus and are not angels nor creatures but kings and priests which are identified as the Christians in revelation one. Of course, revelation is written by John and not Paul.
    • During the time of the church there is a gospel of grace or as many people call at the age of grace were salvation comes from accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior. That is why verses like John 3:16 can be completely true that simply believing in Jesus Christ means you have eternal life because it refers to the age of grace. However I the same statement that can be found in Matthew 24 that you must endure to the end to be saved can also be true because it refers to a different age AFTER the church age.
o Matthew 24:13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

    Continued on next post

    ReplyDelete
  14. • If enduring to the end applied to the church and the Christian then met John 3:16 could not be true but my Savior does not lie.
o John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
    • If you believe John 3:16 to be completely accurate then you must believe that there is no possibility of losing your salvation. If there is no possibility for someone in the church age to lose their salvation, then the statement that all things are lawful but not beneficial made by Paul is actually true because you are no longer going to be held accountable to the law (1 Corinthians 11:23).
    • If you doubt the salvation by grace, consider what Jesus did to the woman who HAD NOT YET REPENTED in John 8:1-11 when he tells her that he was not going to condemn her despite her guilt. Also consider the idea of Peter when he denied Jesus Christ and was cursing he also was rejecting Jesus Christ but was not rejected by Jesus Christ telling you that even though she sinned, she was not under the penalty of the law. So the things that he did were lawful (or legal) since he was free from punishment of it but they were not expedient (or beneficial) for him.
    • Jesus Christ makes it very clear that we become children of God if we accept him as Savior. That means that we can no longer be treated as a criminal but must be treated as a son or daughter. The matter how many sins we perform we are no longer under the law but under God’s grace as our father. The only way to put this into words is the way that Paul did. We now choose to obey the law out of love for Jesus rather than fear.

  15. • Argument 4
o Paul taught another gospel then the other disciples and by his own admission he states that he should be cursed or the other disciples and Jesus should be cursed for preaching something different than what he said. They argue that there was a separation between Paul and Barnabas and when they had a dispute Barnabas left and went with the other disciples along with Mark. That meant they must have been teaching different Gospels and disagreed meaning that one or the other had to be cursed.
 Galatians 1:8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
o This is a valid argument if Paul indeed did teach another gospel for the age of grace besides that the Jesus had already delivered or any of the other apostles delivered. So what was the gospel that Paul delivered?
 Paul claimed that his gospel was given to him by revelation of Jesus Christ and not from the 12 apostles.
    • Galatians 1: 11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. 15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: 17Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
 Yet unlike the other apostles Paul have a specific mandate to take the word of God to the Gentiles so he had a variable gospel that did have some differences from the gospel to the Jews. The Jews were given all sorts of laws, commandments, statutes, and observances they had to keep from the Old Testament. Jews that were saved were not freed from this although their salvation was secure in Christ. They were still to observe the feasts as you will find throughout the New Testament. But Paul had a new gospel that would exclude all the observance of things that pertain to Jews. That is why he could talk about “my gospel.”
    • Romans 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
 So what was the gospel Paul preached?
    • Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
    • He taught throughout the book of Romans how God has answered the problem of our sins justifying us by faith in his son Jesus Christ. We are no longer viewed as being in Adam but now are in Christ

  16.  So what did Paul preach that was different from the other apostles and from Jesus?
    • He revealed the mystery of the rapture of the church and of the Gentile involvement in the church.
o 1 Corinthians 15:51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
o 1 Corinthians 15:22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
    • Yet John recorded the letters from Jesus Christ himself who again taught that Jesus would return and take his believers from the world before the tribulation.
o Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
 The fact remains that Paul preached the exact same gospel that both John and Peter preached as well as what Jesus Christ preached. The only differences when in the Gospels Jesus is speaking about the end times after the rapture and a special gospel was mentioned which again is verified by John to be preached by an angel rather than by the church of Christ which is no longer present on the earth.
    • Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

  17.  Importantly Peter verifies and solidifies the writings of Paul is true and accurate. He warns that ignorance and lack of study and understanding Paul’s writings would lead to severe problems in doctrine.
    • 2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
    • Peter very clearly says that Paul had written according to the wisdom that was given to him. Wisdom and foolishness our offices and wisdom is the favorable correct answer and Peter acknowledges that Paul was given wisdom. He also acknowledges that certain things require study and are hard to be understood in the unlearned and unstable use them to mislead others. The Christian was to study them and not be misled and they were to use them to grow in grace of the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Peter clearly supports every teaching that Paul shared in all his letters.
o This would tell you that Peter, Paul, and John all clearly teach the same gospel and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Peter verifies the revelations of Paul and John preaches based on those revelations and shares the epistle from Jesus Christ himself that again verifies that the church will be removed from the earth prior to the gospel of the old Testament and post rapture period. Yes Paul did disagree with Barnabas and Mark as well as Peter but this was never about the Gospels being preached but rather about the spiritual maturity of those traveling and the direction in which they wanted to head. It was never a doctrinal issue except in the case of Peter wanting to make Gentiles a lower-class of Christian and Paul rebuking him for it. Peter repents and agrees with Paul.

  18. • Argument 5
o Paul contradicts himself and stating that if anyone become circumcised Christ does not profit them yet he turns and circumcised Timothy.
 Galatians 5:2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
 Acts 16:3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
o This argument is a complete misunderstanding of what Paul was trying to teach in Galatians chapter 5. The problem in the church of the Galatians is that the people were trying to return to the requirements of the law of the Old Testament and stating that any new believer had to be circumcised because they have to convert to Judaism in order to become a believer. Paul uses the term the circumcision to represent Judaism throughout his letters as this was commonly the defining feature of a Jew. He is stating that if any man tries to enter Christianity by converting to Judaism doesn’t understand what Jesus Christ did for him. The law was simply to show you you’re a sinner and not a path to heaven. It could only be a pass to heaven if you kept it 100% of the time from birth until death which only Jesus Christ accomplished. If you try to go back and earn your way into heaven then you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your path to heaven. If you read the context of Galatians 5 it makes that quite clear.
 Galatians 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
o However, being circumcised and following the laws and ordinances of the Jews is still part of being a Jew. Even though a Jewish Christian is saved by the blood of Christ they are still commanded to obey and observe the Jewish ordinances such as Passover and there are other feasts of the years and sabbaths. They were a set apart people and it was signified by circumcision. Therefore, in order to allow Timothy to accompany him to the temples in the synagogues to preach the word he had to be ceremonially suitable to do so. He was already a Jew by birth and obeying the law of Moses he proceeded to become circumcised. It was a demand of God until the end of time.
 Genesis 17:9And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. 10This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 11And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. 13He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
o So all Jewish believers remain Jews and observe the laws that God demanded they observe but the new Gentile believers in Galatia were not forced to become practicing Jews in order to join the church.

  19. • Argument 6
o Paul argues that it is completely reasonable and acceptable to eat meets that were offered to idols were as Luke records in the book of Acts and John in the book of Revelation that it is a sin to do so.
 Acts 15:28-29 28For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
 Revelation 2:14But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
 1 Corinthians 8:4As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one
o This is a laughable argument because Paul spends the entire chapter arguing that we should not eat things offered to idols but is simply explaining that an idol is not really a God at all and there is nothing special about the food offered to it. He states that the reason that you should not eat it is because you want to make sure you don’t cause others to stumble. He clarifies this again in chapter 10 where he says you don’t need to worry when you’re buying food from a market or eating at someone’s house because it is just plain meat. However if they point out to you that it was offered to idols and again for their sake you should not eat it.
 1 Corinthians 10:27If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. 28But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
o this is completely different from the letter Jesus wrote in Revelation 2 because these were people that followed the doctrine of Balaam, rejecting the doctrine of Jesus Christ, and intentionally worshiping an idol by sacrificing the meat towards it and eating it. This is completely different than unintentionally eating part of a cow that had been killed in some false gods Festival.

  20. • Argument 7
o Satan was prophesied to fall from heaven like lightning and Paul said he saw a great light which could be a flash of lightning. He then had skills on his eyes and dragons have skills and serpents have scales. Jesus tells us that there will be many false apostles and John mentions that many antichrists are already in the world.
 Luke 10:18 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
 Acts 9:18 18And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
o Of course this completely ignores that Paul had to go to a Christian who was well known who had to pray for him in order for him to receive his site and that Christian was commanded to do so by God himself. It also ignores the fact that lightning is not light. It also ignores the fact that Jesus saw Satan fall Satan has not yet come to earth because he is an accuser of the brethren currently in heaven. Jesus saw it in the past because Jesus has already seen past present and future. It also ignores the fact that Peter verifies all of Paul’s teachings as mentioned above. It also ignores the fact that the book of Acts was written by Luke and not Paul.

  21. • Argument 8
o Peter developed criteria for what is required to be a true apostle of Jesus and Paul did not fill the requirements and therefore is not a true apostle.
 Acts 1:21-23 21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the LORD Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
 1 Corinthians 15:3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
o This argument again ignores the power of God and the mistakes of man. God has the power to write and preserve his word. He has the power to prevent corruption to his word.
 The Bible claims to be some things. It claims to be the Word of God. It also claims to be inspired by God. It claims to be absolute truth. (John 17:17, Proverbs 30:5). Every word is pure. Not the concepts, not the gist.
 Recognize that God has not only written the Bible, but also other books. The Book of Remembrance (Malachi 3:16), The Books of Works and the Book of life (Revelation 20:12). How important is it for those works to be accurate? What is something that was done by your neighbor was put on you? God’s book of works and remembrance must be accurate, to the letter! What about the book of life? What if your name was misspelled? Should you go to the lake of fire? Clearly not, it must be infallible! These rules apply to every book God has written. He gave it perfectly and preserves it perfectly.
 Psalms 119:89 tells us the Bible was settle long before Adam showed up. He knew what it should say and how it would say it.
 Psalm 12:6 says that God promises to preserve the Bible forever.

  22. o So know lets take a closer look at what Peter did in acts. Remember that Peter has a history of acting 1st and thinking later. He jumped to insist that Jesus should not die and Jesus had to rebuke him. He swore he would never deny Jesus Christ and he denied him 3 times. Here again we will see Peter acting somewhat hastily. In acts chapter 1 through verse 11 Jesus Christ was with the apostles and then ascended to heaven 40 days after his resurrection. The Holy Spirit would not come until 50 days after his resurrection on the day of Pentecost. That means for 10 days the disciples were there without Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit. They spent the next 10 days with all 11 disciples, Jesus’s family, and the women disciples as well. Peter then stood up during those 10 days in which he had not yet received the Holy Spirit and announced that in his reading of the book of Psalms he had found that Judas should be replaced. Peter then, again without the Holy Spirit, made criteria for what would make someone an apostle although he completely forgot that every other apostle was handpicked and verified by Jesus Christ. He then used his criteria to narrow down to 2 options and then he decided to pray about it. He drew lots and Matthias became the 12th apostle. You never hear anything about Matthias again.
 Acts 1: 20For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. 21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. 26And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

    ReplyDelete
  23. o I am not suggesting that Matthias was not an apostle nor my suggesting he did not have an effective ministry but when it comes to the criteria of an apostle Jesus Christ made the criteria by personally choosing each one. Matthias did not fulfill that criteria were as Paul met Jesus’s criteria by being hand selected. On top of all this Jesus left only 10 days before the Holy Spirit arrived. Would it not lead to reason that if you wanted to select a replacement for Judas He would have done so as Matthias was there with Him in the resurrection time as Peter points out? Yet Jesus Christ makes absolutely no mention of such an appointment. Yet he specifically appoints Paul himself. Paul was then given direct revelation for 3 years which was the same period of time the 11 apostles spent with Jesus.
 John 15:16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you
 Act 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
o This would mean that Paul fulfilled the requirements of an apostle much more so than Matthias did. That would also mean that as there are 12 apostles that are referred to as the pillars in heaven that either Matthias or Paul or the 12th. I would base my decision on the criteria Jesus used rather than the criteria Peter used without the Holy Spirit. The New Testament is full of mistakes that Peter made you will not find a single mistake that Jesus Christ made. God wrote the prophecy of the 12th apostle and God fulfilled the prophecy. God was not present in the selection of Matthias as Jesus Christ was not there in the Holy Spirit was not there. Every other apostle was handpicked by Jesus.
o The churches in Asia rejected Paul but the churches in Asia had a particularly bad report when it came to the letters from Jesus Christ with the exception of Philadelphia and Smyrna. Interestingly the one church that did accept Paul in Asia was the Ephesians and they rejected all the false apostles.
 Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
o That means that Jesus Christ himself verified that Paul is a true apostle because the Ephesians accepted as an apostle.
 Ephesians 6:20-22 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

  24. • Argument 9
o Paul was a murderer of the Christians and never sought their forgiveness. This is similar to how Satan is a murderer from the beginning.
 Acts 8: 1And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. 3As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
o Numerous times in Paul’s letter he repents of his mistakes and does not feel worthy of his calling because of them. He even states that he is ashamed and unworthy to be called a Christian (saint)
 1 Corinthians 15:9 9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
 Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
o Speaking of repentance he begs to even go to hell in order to see the Jewish people become saved. I am not sure how much more repentant you could be then to try and go to hell on someone else’s behalf who you previously persecuted.
 Romans 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

  26. • Argument 10
o Paul ignores the love of God with all your heart is one of the major commandments that Jesus put along with love your neighbor as yourself. Paul only discusses loving your neighbor.
 Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
 Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
 Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
o This argument is again a foolish one. If you look at Romans 13:9 he is reviewing all the laws that deal with our fellow citizens and summarizes them into loving your neighbor as yourself. He is not asking you to include exclude honoring your parents or honoring God but was speaking to the Romans about how they should treat each other and how they should treat the rulers over them. The entire chapter is discussing relationship between others and to mention the relationship of a family or the relationship to God would be completely out of context with the chapter that is discussing making sure you pay your taxes and honor political officials.
o In regards to Galatians 5:14, he was discussing the very specific issue where the Jewish believers were trying to force the Gentile believers into following the laws of Judaism. He argues that it does not matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile but that you must accept Jesus Christ in faith.
 Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

    ReplyDelete
  27. o He then specifies that instead of trying to burden each other with unnecessary rituals we should love one another and serve one another and again if you were to begin discussing honoring your parents or honoring God it would make absolutely no sense in this context.
 Galatians 5: 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
o In regards to loving God with all your heart he goes on in Galatians to stay there is nothing to glory and except Jesus Christ and otherwise we are dead to the world. In other words he is saying that all his heart mind soul and strength is focused on the love of Jesus because the rest of the world is dead to him.
 Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
o Also in Romans he states that we are to completely reject her flesh in order to honor Jesus Christ. He claims that her entire life should be devoted to the Lord again reflecting the 1st of the 2 commandments Jesus told us to follow.
 Romans 13:3 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
 Romans 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
 Romans 14:8 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

  28. • Argument 11
o Paul claim to be an apostle but no one supported his claim except for Luke who was his friend. He also did not meet the criteria of being an apostle as discussed above. Throughout the Bible it talks about there being only 12 apostles and there is nothing recorded about Mathias being replaced. Paul is not considered one of the 12.
 Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
 1 Corinthians 15:4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
o I already pointed out above that the main criteria for being an apostle was that Jesus select you himself and Mathias did not meet that criteria. Regardless Paul did not seek a place of authority is one of the apostles that were in charge of the church in Jerusalem. He rather was appointed to be a missionary to the Gentile world.
o When was David anointed King and when did he actually assumed the throne. He was anointed as a boy but only years later did he actually rule. The Holy Spirit was given him the moment he was anointed so when did he actually become king? He was King the entire time from the moment he was anointed. When Samuel broke the news to Paul he told him in the past tense. Although David was already the king while Saul still reigned he never sought to replace him or defeat him because God had anointed him
 1 Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
 2 Samuel 5:3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
 1 Samuel 15:28 And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

  29. o Who was the 1st king of Israel from God’s point of view and who was the 1st king of Israel from man’s point of view? God himself selected the King in David from long before David’s birth with the story of Judah and Tamar in Genesis 38 and again in the book of Ruth. Some people say God never intended for Israel to have a king yet before they even asked for a king he gave them a law regarding their King. And Jesus himself selected the disciples. Man had chosen Samuel but God didn’t even consider him a true king. The true King’s had to come from Judah yet Saul was from the tribe of Benjamin. Even though David had many descendants that were kings and Saul was a king before him the only one that is ever still identified as a king is David.
 Deuteronomy 17:14When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; 15Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. 16But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way. 17Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
 1 Samuel 8:19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; 20That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. 21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD. 22And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.
 1 Sam 9:21 And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me?
 Genesis 49:10 10The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

  30. o The point here is that from a human perspective David is the 2nd king of Israel but from God’s perspective he is the only king of Israel. The fact that David did not overthrow Saul does not change the fact that David became king the same day he was anointed. Mathias is a blessed brother served God. The only criteria he ever met was that of man and Saul never sought to replace him but simply to serve God just as David did.
o The other point made is that Luke was Saul’s friend. Despite the fact that Luke was Saul’s friend he also was given the task of writing the gospel message which we all agree to be true and authoritative and breathed by the Holy Spirit. Then are going to say that an author that was filled with the Holy Spirit suddenly betrayed the Holy Spirit by writing about a false prophet. This is a dangerously similar concept to blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
o It is a fact that Peter validated Paul’s apostleship and his teachings, and it is a fact that He validated Paul’s calling from Jesus Christ. To state that Paul is a fraud is to state that Peter lied. To state that Peter lied is to claim that Jesus lied when he said that whatever the disciples sealed on earth would be sealed in heaven. There is very little you can do more dangerous than even suggest this heresy. Peter says Paul is beloved and in ALL his epistles are scripture and compares them to the same level as other scriptures, such as the Old Testament. In the same letter that Peter was praising Paul he also was warning them against false teachers clearly separating Paul from that lot.
 2 Peter 3:15 15And account that the longsuffering of our LORD is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
o So Peter and Luke, again who both have the Holy Spirit, saw Paul as a Holy Apostle, yet people today have the gall to suggest this isn’t true.

  31. • Argument 12
o Paul spent a lot of time defending himself against lies and accusations. He even has to defend himself against the other apostles and had no issue in practicing pagan customs in order to convert people.
 Rom 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
 1Co 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
 Act 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
o Of course this is completely taken out of context once again if you look closely at Romans chapter 3, it is clear that Paul is speaking in a hypothetical situation. He starts out by telling us that there is special blessing and benefit to being a Jew but even for the unfaithful Jews it did not change God’s plan. He then says that no matter how faith for unfaithful the Jews were God is always true. He points out that our own failings actually make God even greater because he never fails. He then makes it clear that even though God is glorified by being so much greater than we are when we fail, we are still responsible for our sins and God did not make us sin. The verse in question is simply to point out that God’s goodness does not force us to sin and so God is just in punishing us. This made sure that no one misunderstood that the verse was trying to tell you you are free to sin.
o In regards to the accusation but he practiced pagan customs, Jesus Christ himself was thought to do the same thing. He affiliated with Samaritans and sinners. He sat with prostitutes and tax collectors. He worked on the Sabbath. He literally is the perfect example of becoming everything to every man to win all men to him, yet from the Jewish standpoint behaving as a total pagan.
 Mat 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
 Joh 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

  32. • Argument 13
o Why would Jesus teach the 11 apostles one thing and then provide so many new revelations after he passed and resurrected? Why do the new revelations seem to contradict Jesus’s own teachings saying that the law no longer applies?
 Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
 Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
o Jesus made it quite clear that his ministry was to the children of Israel. He turned away a Canaanite woman who was begging him for help before finally giving in. He also sent out his 12 disciples to preach and gave them very specific guidelines to go from city to city within Israel.
 Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
 Mat 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
o Jesus specifically went to Jewish towns throughout his ministry. Yet once he died and rose again he collected his disciples and made them a very peculiar commandment. Something had changed once he had died and rose again. His new commandment was not to complete the preaching of Israel but instead to go out into all nations. It would seem there is something of a new covenant that has been initiated here.
 Mat 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

  33. o Now that we see that Jesus Christ no longer was here just for the Jews but in his resurrection extended salvation to all people, we understand mysteries that were hidden from the foundation of the world that the church would include both Jew and Gentile. Guess which apostle was given that revelation that goes along with not only Jesus’s words but also the Old Testament.
 Eze 39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
 Eph 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
o When the Lord Jesus Christ was saying that not thing about the law would change until all was fulfilled he gave an impossible to follow series of rules. The rules ended with him stating that we had to be as perfect as God. This was not a demand or a commandment but a show of his credentials and what he would accomplish. The law did not change until he fulfilled it, completing that verse. He was as perfect as God because he was God, and thus the law was fulfilled.
 Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
o So if you believe that Jesus fulfilled the law, then you must believe that it no longer applies in the same way. Jesus made it clear that nothing would change until all was fulfilled. He never said that it would never be changed. Thus statements like this make more sense. Paul uses the law to reach Jesus Christ.
 Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
 Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
o Some may argue that Jesus did not fulfill the law yet they are arguing with Jesus Christ himself.
 Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
o If Jesus did not fulfill the law then it is still binding and we are still held accountable to it. That means that every sin we have ever committed we will have to answer for. If that is the case we have no hope of salvation. But praise the Lord Jesus Christ we know we have believed because he has fulfilled the law and overcome death. His entire resurrection was based on the concept that he fulfilled the law. The wages of sin is death yet he died without sending and thus death could not hold him in the grave could not keep him from rising again.

  34. • Argument 14
o Paul’s conversion story is full of contradictions and thus must be a lie. The men in the first rendering heard a voice but didn’t see anyone. In the second rendering the men solve the light. In the first two, Paul had to ask what he was supposed to do and was told to go to Damascus. Yet in the third version there was a bright light that knocked the people to the ground and the entire revelation was given to him on the spot rather than telling him to go to Damascus.
    Acts 9:3-18, 22:6-15, 26:12-18

o The first thing I would point out is that the author of acts was Luke, and educated man that clearly would have known there were contradictions in Paul’s stories. Yet he wrote what the Holy Spirit had him write for a reason. Remember that Luke is not in question but Paul and the contradiction in Paul’s stories would then be a mistake of Luke’s. Regardless, the fact is that there are no contradictions in the Bible. The fact that these are not exact duplications is actually evidence of their truth. Someone fabricating the stories would make sure they lined up perfectly. That is actually an evidence of someone lying in court as if their story is exactly the same every time.
 The first recording is telling the tale of what happened to Paul. Here we see that Paul hears a voice and understands it and the people with them hear a voice as well. The light that Paul saw was clearly a blinding light but the people that were with him did not see the person that spoke. There is no mention as to whether they saw the light or not but clearly they were not blinded by the city did not see the same intensity as Paul. Jesus then informs Paul to go and find Ananias. His companions lead him to the city and that is where Paul’s site is restored.
 The second recording is Paul defending himself before a mob. He has to convince them that Jesus Christ is the Messiah that they rejected. Here Paul sees the light and hears the voice but those with him saw the light but didn’t hear the voice that spoke to him. Again there is no contradiction here because we know they clearly did not see the same intensity of the light as they were not blinded. The people in the first story heard a voice but it was not the voice that spoke to Paul. Again absolutely no contradiction. He again asks what he must do with us told he must go find Ananias.
 The third recording was before a king who was going to pronounce judgment. Here we have part of the conversation that Jesus had with Saul regarding his commission to go to the Gentiles. In the first recording Ananias was told this as well. There literally is no contradiction here just different parts of the story.

  35. o The four Gospels are also full of contradictions yet every single one is completely true. One example is the temptation of Jesus Christ. In the account of Matthew, Satan tempts Jesus with food and then throwing himself from the temple and then inheriting the earth. In the account of Luke the order is food and then inheriting the world and then throwing himself from the temple. A simple understanding of the word “then” and the word “and” will clear this up to be Matthew giving the order and Luke simply giving a list. I could tell my wife I went to the store, then the gas station, and then Dairy Queen or I could tell her I went to the store, Dairy Queen, and the gas station and both be completely accurate statements.

  36. • Argument 15
o Paul contradicts what he did after his conversion in acts nine when he recounts it to the Galatians and thus cannot be trusted.
 Gal 1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: 17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
 Act 9:19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. 20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. 21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? 22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. 23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: 24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. 25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket. 26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. 27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. 28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem. 29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him. 30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus. 31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
o It is about a two week trip from Damascus to Jerusalem on foot. So clearly there is a period of time between acts 25 and 26. A few years is not enough time to change the reputation of what you consider a terrorist. Osama bin Laden remained irrelevant name for 20 and 30 years with long periods of time going on without us knowing what he was up to. There is no contradiction here, simply relevant points.

  37. • Argument 16
o Paul disagreed and fought with many of the apostles and thus he must have been not an apostle himself.
 Act 15:36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. 37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. 38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. 39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; 40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
 Gal 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
o The first dispute had anything to do with doctrine, but personality. The second dispute did have to do with doctrine but Paul was right in his argument. In addition, t he apostles frequently fought amongst themselves, often not believing one another, yet they still all remained apostles.
 Mat 26:33 Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
 Luk 22:24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
 Mar 10:37 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory. 38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? 39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: 40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared. 41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.
 Joh 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
o Disagreements were common among the apostles that did not change their status as apostles.

  38. • Argument 17
o According to Paul no one was justified by the law, but the remainder of there Bible tells you that they were.
 Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
 Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
 2Sa 22:21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
 Job 27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
 Job 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
 Luk 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
o I believe this argument is quite telling of the person’s spiritual maturity who makes this argument. If anyone could be justified by the law than the entire sacrificial system of the Old Testament is pointless. If Job was truly as righteous as he thought, then he would not have to make sacrifices for himself but only his children. Yet it was because of Job self-righteousness that God had Satan tempt him. Once Job understood his own failings he realized that his claims of righteousness were pointless. See that Job, the most righteous man that perhaps ever lived besides Jesus Christ says about himself once he understands how holy God is compared to human righteousness.
 Job 1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
 Job 42:6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
o In regards to the righteousness of anyone else, Isaiah puts it best. Remember that the people in the Bible have righteousness next to human standards, not to Jesus Christ. If it were possible to be righteous, we would need no savior.
 Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
o Remember that even though the Pharisees are called vipers and hypocrites they were considered extremely righteous in their day. Even Jesus makes reference to this. He says the only righteousness that would ever be enough would be absolute perfection. Clearly the righteousness of these people mentioned above does not reach this level and thus means that no one is it truly justified by the law. Only Jesus Christ was able to keep the law.
 Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
 Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
o Lastly in regards to David so many of his mistakes are recorded as are his punishments so the fact that he is righteous is clearly not of himself. Job and David both spoke of their Savior and their redeemer. Why would a righteous person need a Savior? David even makes it clear that the righteous still need salvation. This means they are not righteous enough.
 Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
 Psalm 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

  39. The last few arguments that I have gotten to have not been fully developed, but the basic ideas are there.

    • Argument 18
o Paul told us to submit to the governing authorities because their established by God but the rest of the Bible says nothing based on this. Romans 13: 1-7, Titus 3:1
o Nebuchadnezzar was told this exact thing by God
o Jesus made it clear that his people were not of this world so they would not fight
o Jesus made it clear to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar
    • Argument 19
o Paul tells women to be silent in the church and not to have authority over a man first Timothy 2:12
o Peter also tells women to be subject to their husbands in first Peter 3:1 and tells husbands to honor their wives as the weaker vessel
    • argument 20
o Paul was a Pharisee and Jesus warned against the Pharisees because they were so evil Matthew 16:6
o Nicodemus was also a Pharisee and was a disciple of Christ Paul was a Pharisee but then was hated by them for converting to Christianity
    • argument 21
o Paul said it was okay to not worry about the Sabbath and is probably the reason we worship on Sunday Colossians 2:16
o there were many sabbaths that were on Sunday already. The feast of firstfruits was a Sabbath and was on a Sunday the feast of Pentecost was on the Sabbath and was on a Sunday. Regardless of Paul’s writing we meet to remember the Lord’s death and resurrection on the day he was resurrected and on the Sabbath that he chose to represent the church, Pentecost
    • argument 22
o Jesus said that his disciples were to preach without pay and he’ll is sick and take care of the lepers in Matthew 10:8 but Paul says that those who preach should be paid in first Corinthians 9:14
o when you go out to evangelize the world you’re not asking them to pay you for it. However when you are providing for the needs of the church it is the church’s responsibility to pay you just as the priests were paid and just as the Old Testament makes it clear that you don’t muzzle an ox when it’s treading out the grain.

I intend on covering every argument, but that is what I have gotten to today.

  40. You really twist many things to come to your conclusions. It seriously shows a lack of understanding and a desire to pervert the Gospel. I will tell you now, that Peter himself considered Paul's writings scripture. We know this as he says, "He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction." Notice the words "as they do the other Scriptures," which says that he did in fact consider Paul's epistles to be scripture. Have a good day, sir.
