The problem is with the translation, not with Paul. I can prove this very easily.Pastor Eli Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06655604765215003287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1774434589573840285.post-80223965851321510742014-06-29T06:18:09.378-07:002014-06-29T06:18:09.378-07:00^Wow. On Friday, June 27th, I had a vision, the first since my youth, and the curiosity I had for the order of events led me here. You are 100% on point. There is no need for interpretation if you discard the words of Paul, as they are the only writings in the New Testament that defy the teachings of Christ, and are often used by atheists to make the point of self-contradiction, the absolute biggest weak point in the cannon. Many lost faith in this way, by noticing this, and usually those people are well read in a Biblical sense. By removing Paul's 'contributions' to the canon, the message is very straight forward, however it is also much harder to maintain faith, as you are also now compelled to follow all Mosaic laws, all 613 of them (A recurring number in my vision). My vision explained this to me by way of gruesome acts carried out by a man who transforms into a snake and starts biting people left and right, and rather than poisoning them and killing them, their soul dies, they too transform into snakes and go about biting and infecting everyone around them. Paul made the teaching convenient, not correct, and Christ warned about such a man, a pharisee, a man who would speak great blasphemies, who would emerge from the desert saying he spoke to Christ, and named him a false prophet before the fact. In my vision I was charged with clarifying this message and was shown my own death at the hands of a man who followed one of the snakes from my vision. My death is cheered by many and I was told it was my duty to accept that my life is here for the sole purpose of clearing this up and dying to do it. I was also told only 144,000 people will be saved in the end for a reason, as most will ignore me, and some will even lose faith altogether. I wish to remain anonymous and will be writing anonymously. This is the first page I found on the matter and after a day and a half of reading, and cross-referencing, I find it is perfectly suited for my task. Thank you. If you would like to contact me, I can be reached at imk1455@hawkmail.hacc.edu

I am going to die, and I am fine with it. I am not a prophet or holy in any way, I am not a priest or a minister or a sectarian Christian, and after seven years of atheism, I honestly have know idea why I was chosen, but it feels right, and I know what a dream is like and THAT wasn't a dream. I do know that I appreciate the hard work you have put into this entry, and the ones after it, and I feel it is exactly where it should be, what it should be, and contains what it should. I'll keep you posted to other visions if they occur, and would appreciate you emailing me to discuss this, as I am trying to remain as anonymous as possible.

God bless, and until then,
AnonymousAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1774434589573840285.post-67013698290606434152011-02-27T12:02:22.309-08:002011-02-27T12:02:22.309-08:00i disagree. The original message of Jesus about God's nature makes it impossible that God would ever hurt anyone, not for a second, much less for eternity!

I've actually written an entire book on this topic--"Hell? No! Why You Can Be Certain There's No Such Place As Hell," (for anyone interested, you can get a free ecopy of my book at my website: www.thereisnohell.com), but if I may, let me share one of the many points I make in it to explain why.

If one is willing to look, there's substantial evidence contained in the gospels to show that Jesus opposed the idea of Hell. For example, in Luke 9:51-56, is a story about his great disappointment with his disciples when they actually suggested imploring God to rain FIRE on a village just because they had rejected him. His response: "You don't know what spirit is inspiring this kind of talk!" Presumably, it was NOT the Holy Spirit. He went on, trying to explain how he had come to save, heal and relieve suffering, not be the CAUSE of it.

So it only stands to reason that this same Jesus, who was appalled at the very idea of burning a few people, for a few horrific minutes until they were dead, could never, ever burn BILLIONS of people for an ETERNITY!

True, there are a few statements that made their way into the copies of copies of copies of the gospel texts which place “Hell” on Jesus’ lips, but these adulterations came along many decades after his death, most likely due to the Church filling up with Greeks who imported their belief in Hades with them when they converted.

Bear in mind that the historical Protestant doctrine of the inspiration of the Scriptures applies only to the original autographs, not the copies. But sadly, the interpolations that made their way into those copies have provided a convenient excuse for a lot of people to get around following Jesus’ real message.Rick Lannoyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15771612313060169125noreply@blogger.com
